Open Identity’s Rapid Autonomous Diagnostics and Awareness based on RNA (RADAR) platform integrates scientific and business approaches for a scalable solution for SARS-CoV-2 RNA testing outside specialized environments, coupled with a mobile Awareness system allowing remote read-outs and interaction between different RADAR and RADAR-compatible devices. RADAR is an innovative non-invasive device composed of two components – a multi-use hand-held wearable module and a single-use replaceable COVID-19 saliva-based test cartridge.
RADAR is not just a COVID-19 test. Its integrated mobile Awareness system enables RADAR devices to intelligently interact with each other and other compatible devices. Using smart mobile application, RADAR device can request and transmit COVID-19 screening Heath ID to a Point-of-Entry (PoE) “gate” or another individual’s RADAR device.
This promotes awareness for proximal active infection in both surrounding individuals or gatherings and enables communities to establish “Health Safe Zones” and reduce the need for social distancing when it is not necessary. “Health Safe Zones” allow people to feel protected, as well as employers and businesses to confidently go back to normal.
RADAR is intended for wide-use at social environments. Remotely readable test results allow communication of positive results to an area at infectable distance, such as offices, workspaces, restaurants, gyms, movie-theaters, elevators, airports, outdoor shared spaces, as well as hospitals, healthcare providers and laboratories.
Our team is in the process of obtain the regulatory approvals in the United States, China and the European Union. We expect that the first RADAR COVID-19 test devices will be available in the summer of 2020.
